Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
28 June to 11 July 2021
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:

  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Lees Lane & Woodfall Lane - Two reports received, both reporting an unknown male being witnessed approaching front doors and trying/tampering with the door handles. – No entry gained.
  • Neston
  • New Heyes – Unknown male on bike witnessed trying the door handles to flats and rummaging through the letterboxes. 
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Thornton Road – Grassed area set alight.
  • Oldfield Road – Lock smashed off garden gate, also damaging the gate.
  • Richmond Court – Two separate incidents reported.
    • Glass in the communal door smashed. – Named suspect.
    • Ground floor window smashed.
  • Coliseum Way – Window in bus shelter smashed.
  • Whitby
  • Elm Grove – Metal storage shed damaged by youths kicking football into it.  Graffiti also drawn onto shed.
  • Strawberry
  • Acacia Drive – Fence panel damaged leaving it with a hole.
  • Rossmore
  • Jacks Woods Avenue – Brick thrown through living room window.
  • Charles Price Gardens – Communal door damaged.
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Station Close – Paddling pool, on grass verge, slashed.
  • St. Pauls
  • Wilmslow Drive – Fence damaged, possibly by a vehicle driving into it.
  • Hawthorn Road – Caravan, parked on residential property has tyres slashed. – Named suspect.
  • Grange
  • Kensington Road – Brick thrown through the living room window.
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Bamburgh Court – Aerial connector removed from outer wall.
  • Oldfield Road – Giant mountain bike, secured to bin taken.
  • Whitby
  • Stanney Woods Avenue – IPhone SE2020, dropped in car park at ‘M&S’ taken. Traced to Little Stanney area before the phone was turned off.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Woodfall Lane – Black Honda CB650 Night Hawk, A693 TBW taken from outside residential property.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

  • Whitby
  • Birkett Avenue – Honda Accord, on residential property had catalytic convertor taken.  The vehicle is currently SORN and the theft occurred at some point during June.
  • Sutton
  • Station Road – Two separate reports of vehicles having registration plates taken.
    • BMW Sport 181 has the front registration plate, showing SM60 APZ taken.
    • Nissan Navara has the front registration plate, showing YJ56 NTV taken.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Strawberry
  • St. Marks Crescent – Hyundai 130 and VW Aerton both damaged by stones chips from the driveway of a neighbouring property being power washed.  This has also resulted in one of the vehicle windscreens cracking.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • School Lane – Vauxhall Astra keyed along the side. 
  • Netherpool
  • Thornleigh Drive – Mercedes C220 had window smashed.
  • Gateacre Court – Citroen C4 has rear passenger door hit causing a dent.
  • Hooton Park Lane – Vauxhall Meriva has window smashed. – Named suspect.
  • Grange
  • Earls Gardens – Vauxhall
