Crime update –
Sometime between 18/12/19 05:00hrs and 20/12/19 17:30hrs a white Ford Transit van has been stolen from the bottom end of Murdishaw Avenue near to Norton Cottages. A PNC stolen marker has been placed on the vehicle which as of yet has not been recovered.

Suspicious activity –
On 13/12/19 we received a report of suspicious activity whereby a black VW golf with blacked out windows was seen ‘crawling’ in the area on Eanleywood Lane before making off towards Tower Lane.

ASB/damage –
On 01/12/19 we received a call stating that the ticket office at Runcorn East Station had been damaged, windows smashed etc. British Transport Police have been made aware and are investigating.

On 03/12/19 we received a report of criminal damage at Stockham Lodge, Stockham Lane whereby youths had broken the outer fencing and had been throwing stones at the windows. CCTV was seized for ID purposes and extra lighting, better CCTV and signage and stronger fence supports have been put up at the site.

On 04/12/19 a police vehicle was damaged at Murdishaw Community Centre, Barnfield Avenue. The rear wiper was ripped off and damaged. CCTV has been seized and a suspect identified.

Roads Policing –
Tru-Cam speed enforcement has taken place on Norton Station Road, Tower Lane and Windmill Hill Avenue East throughout December. Due to the low number of activations on Tower Lane enforcement will be prioritized for the other two locations.

On 17/12/19 there was a report of a burnt out quad bike on Murdishaw Valley. Due to the fire damage there was no way to identify make/model/serial number. Council were made aware for disposal.

Schools/young people –
On Saturday 18th January 2020 between the hours of 11am-3pm we are holding a free bicycle marking event at Brookvale Recreation Centre.
