Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
12th to 19th October 2019
  
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – Entry via rear patio door having cut hole in glass to access keys in back of door.  Search of ground floor and handbag, purse and wallet found discarded on floor minus cash and bank cards.  Keys to vehicle were also taken but not the vehicle was not.
  • Deeside – Entry gained into main property having forced entry into integral garage.  Search made of ground floor and various property, along with the keys to a white Chevrolet Trax LT, MF14 EXG. Vehicle also taken. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Shotwick Lane – Entry gained via insecure rear door.  Jewellery and purse taken.
  • Sutton
  • Hope Farm Road – Rear door forced to gain entry into property.  Ground floor searched and keys to a silver BMW 218, PN65 UHC taken, along with vehicle. 
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • Station Road – Unsuccessful attempt to force rear door of ‘The Old Quay Hotel’ by group of males using bars and axe. 
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:

  • Sutton
  • Hope Farm Road – Garage door forced to gain entry. Numerous items strewn across drive way.  Boardman bike, fishing rods and fishing equipment taken.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Bunbury Green – Pallets set alight by group of youths.
  • Brancepeth Court – Fencing pulled up and damaged by group of youths.
  • Langley Court – Windows smashed with stones thrown by group of youths.
  • Warwick Court – 2 properties have windows smashed by group of youths.
  • Caernarvon Court –Outer pane of double glazed window hit by small pellet sized object leaving small hole. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Westlands Close – Upper floor window cracked by unknown object.
  • St. Pauls
  • Wilmslow Avenue – Brick thrown through window.
  • Grange
  • Regent Street – Roller shutters damaged on ‘Ellesmere Port Kebab House’ after being force up by group of youths.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Stafford Gardens – Blue and orange Cube bike taken from rear garden.
  • Whitby
  • Sycamore Drive – Metal taken from garden during overnight period. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Well Lane – Copper and brass removed from side of property.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Oil Sites Road – Insecure White Ford Transit tipper van, YT18 YOD parked in rear yard of business premises taken.
  • Whitby
  • Deeside - White Chevrolet Trax LT, MF14 EXG taken after keys obtained during a burglary. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Sutton
  • Hope Farm Road – Silver BMW 218, PN65 UHC taken after keys obtained during a burglary.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Strawberry
  • Brompton Way – Ford Fiesta found with scratch marks by the window and lock area in what may have been an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Station Road – Vauxhall Astra, parked near to cycle route has rear passenger window smashed and 3 handbags taken.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Meadow Lane – 2 males, wearing face masks having arrived in a black Audi seen removing registration plates off 2 vehicles.
    • Nissan Qashqai, S14 SAK
    • Toyota Iq, SL09 HNJ
  • St. Pauls
  • Station Road – Citreon DS3, parked in the car park area of ‘Wirral Car and Engineering Services Ltd’ has its bumper and registration plate, showing YA14 ZDC taken. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Thornton Road – Firework thrown underneath Honda Civic being driven along road. Driver confronts the male responsible who then produces a knife and threatens him before kicking the car and climbing on to the bonnet.  The windscreen is repeatedly stamped on until it smashes. – Male arrested.
  • Doune Court – Vauxhall Vectra has unknown sticky substance thrown over windscreen causing damage.
  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – Hyundai i30, parked on the small car park by Whitby Hall found with deep scratch along drivers door. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Frobisher Road – Vauxhall Zafira has wing mirror damaged by group of females causing a nuisance in the area.
  • Grange
  • Flatt Lane – Whilst stationary a Vauxhall Viva is scratched along the passenger door by young male. – Named suspect.
Other incidents of note…

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • St. Pauls
  • Woodvale Road – Grey Peugeot 208, BF65 UGA, reported stolen during a car and key burglary in Wrexham on 30/09 found parked up on residential street.  Set of registration plates, showing M773 KAC found in rear foot well.
  • Sutton
  • Loxdale Drive – Group of underage male youths enter ‘Loxdale Local’.  One male is refused cigarettes.  When shop keeper is away from counter he then goes behind the counter to take them.  When the shop keeper returns he is punched before the males run from the store. – One male arrested.
